Hathor Forge Wallet Service
The wallet service is a background service that handles all wallet operations in your local environment. In Hathor Forge, wallets are powered by this service, which enables functionality through exposed APIs. These functionalities include:
- Managing wallet keys and addresses.
- Tracking balances and transactions.
- Signing transactions before sending them.
- Communicating directly with the local Hathor Node.
Getting Started
-
Once you have Hathor Forge up and running, you will have two different options to create a new wallet:
- You can create a new one in the Wallet section by clicking on Start Wallet Service and creating your wallets.

- Alternatively, you can also use the API endpoints to create and manage wallets programmatically.

- You can create a new one in the Wallet section by clicking on Start Wallet Service and creating your wallets.
-
After creating the new wallet, you will be able to view its details, including the balance, transaction history, and addresses.
-
Given that the mining service is running automatically within Hathor Forge, you will start generating blocks to make sure your transactions will be confirmed and your balance will update in real time.
Finding a Receiving Address
The wallet address will be the destination used to receive tokens. One of the first practical actions in Forge is locating that address and copying it for later steps.
In the wallet section:
-
Find the address field or address list
-
Identify the active or primary receiving address
-
Copy that address
tipThe fullnode starts with a pre-funded development-only HD wallet that receives mining rewards. You should not use this seed on mainnet or testnet.

You can also fund your different addresses using the mined tokens from the local FullNode Faucet in the Wallet section.

Mobile Wallets
Hathor Forge is also equipped to connect to mobile wallets that support custom networks. To connect your mobile wallet to the local blockchain, you will need to add a custom network with the following parameters:
